The official YouTube channel for Bandai Namco Music Live's anime music label Lantis has started streaming a music video for "Rozé" sung by Japanese actor Hikari Mitsushima . As its title suggests, the song was composed/produced by TeddyLoid, a producer who is active not only in Japan but also in the world. The dramatic tune is now featured as the ending theme for the Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture anime series. In addition to being the vocalist, Mitsushima also participated in the writing of the Japanese lyrics of the song. When I first listened to Tk from Ling tosite sigure , it was through Tokyo Ghoul ’s Op, “unravel.” I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that this was many anime fans’ first exposure to the singer because it’s truly iconic. You hear him sing in that high-pitched voice of his, “Oshiete yo, oshiete yo,” the instrumentals kick in, and then you get goosebumps. I’ve said this about many other anime songs, but this one ends up on my karaoke list if I’m feeling brave or want to damage my vocal cords. Tk, or Toru Kitajima, is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter from the band Ling tosite sigure. He started releasing music as a soloist in 2011, and since then, he has left a major mark in the anime scene. His music style is an acquired taste for some, but for me who’s an emo at heart,...

There are so many directions that a Spy x Family could pursue. The ongoing anime has a deeply versatile story structure that allows it to indulge in diverse missions so that the series always feels fresh. Accordingly, it’s seriously surprising to see Code: White function as a covert cooking anime movie.
It’s the type of story that audiences would expect to see in a Food Wars! or Toriko feature film, but not Spy x Family. It’s also an ambitious approach to Spy x Family’s first movie that hedges its bets and is too cautious to disrupt the status quo. Code: White is still rich in classic Spy x Family elements, even if it amounts to an empty meal.

While "Dune: Part Two" continues to dominate the box office, Netflix is bringing a whole lot of new titles to the platform -- and we're doing our best to make sure that not all of them get lost in the algorithm.
This April, Netflix is bringing some highly anticipated titles, including what was once meant to be a spin-off of "Doom Patrol" (the best superhero show that isn't a superhero show), a brand new anime from the studio behind "Ranking of Kings," and not one but two live-action adaptations of beloved manga — including one created by the director of "Train to Busan."

Although it is not very typical for a protagonist in anime to pass away, there are a number of anime series where the protagonist’s demise plays a major role in the plot. The most significant event in the program is nearly usually the death of the main character, whether it’s through dealing a severe emotional blow or advancing the plot by giving the reins to a new character.
Even though some of them might live again in the future, their deaths had a profound effect on everyone in their immediate vicinity. The protagonist’s death doesn’t always mean the series is going to end. It just hands over the reign to someone who is either related to the character or becomes more significant to the series.

As a fan of fighting games, Tekken 8 was pretty high on my video games of 2024 list. I’ve been playing the games since the very beginning, back when there were only eight characters until you unlocked the rest. Tekken has always been a unique franchise to me, from the ongoing Mishima family “let me grab my popcorn” mess to the fact that some of the lore is unapologetically bizarre. You’d think the multiple bear characters were a joke, but not only are they part of the ongoing story, they aren’t even the weirdest fighter you can pick — and I love every minute of it. The ‘Ultimate Anime Destination’ is home to over 46,000 episodes and 1,300 unique titles
If anime isn’t a genre that you normally follow, it might surprise you that it is one of the most popular genres in the world. Not only do more than half of Netflix’s worldwide subscribers check out anime on any given year, but the world’s leading anime streaming service Crunchyroll just crossed a major milestone. A little over two years after being acquired by Sony in August 2021, the streamer has gone from 5 million paid global customers to 13 million, as was announced during a presentation 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.
Crunchyroll recently surpassed 13 million premium paid subscribers around the world. The platform also announced that it has distributed 10 of the top 20 grossing anime films in United States box office history. Crunchyroll boasts the largest anime library, with over 1,300 unique titles and 46,000 episodes totaling over 24,000 hours available to stream.

Sir Ridley Scott is back with another historical epic with a big sense of humor in "Napoleon," a movie that looks at a great man doing important things while also showing him to be a bit of a giant baby — see also the hilarious Ben Affleck in "The Last Duel" or Jared Leto's incredible transformation as Paolo Gucci in "House of Gucci."
Also in Ridley Scott fashion, "Napoleon" is full of epic action and historical inaccuracies. From a scene where Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon literally shoots the Great Pyramid of Giza, to an incredible moment where the Napoleonic army wins a battle by drowning the enemy under an icy lake. That latter scene is a recreation of The Battle of Austerlitz, which the film depicts as having Napoleon luring the enemy Austrian and Russian armies onto an icy lake. Then, he orders the lake bombarded, trapping and drowning hundreds if not thousands.

"Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" is one of the most anime TV programs out there. It takes about three series-sustaining premises and fuses them into one. In an alternate world where Britain crushed the American Revolution but then fell to Napoleon, the Holy Britannian Empire rules from the North American continent.
Exiled Britannian prince Lelouch lives in the conquered Japan ("Area 11"), waiting for the day when he can take revenge on his father Emperor Charles for the death of his mother, Lady Marianne. He gets his chance when he meets a green-haired witch named Cc, who gives him the "power of a king" — Geass. If Lelouch stares someone in the eye, he can issue one single command that they must obey. He uses his new power to become masked revolutionary "Zero," naming his followers the Black Knights. At the same time, he must also keep a secret identity from his teenage peers,...

Crunchyroll and Gsn, each a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment, have joined forces to launch a new 24/7 anime streaming channel.
Starting today, viewers can find the new Crunchyroll channel on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, the Roku Channel and Vizio WatchFree+. An announcement of the venture says its linear-style roster of fan-favorite titles is intended for an “anime-curious audience.” Among the series available at launch are Horimiya, Ranking of Kings, Moriarty the Patriot, Psycho–Pass, Arifureta, Sugar Apple Fairytale, To Your Eternity and Code Geass.
New and premium anime content will remain on Crunchyroll’s SVOD and AVOD services, the companies said.
Sony acquired Crunchyroll from AT&T in 2021 and merged it with anime specialist Funimation. The avid base of anime fans globally has propelled Crunchyroll past 10 million paid subscribers, Sony Corp. announced last summer. Sony also bought AT&T’s 42% stake in Gsn in 2019, becoming the sole owner of the cable TV network.

Nathalie Emmanuel is the latest star to join the voice cast of the immersive animated series “Ghosts of Ruin.”
The announcement that the “Game of Thrones” and “Fast and Furious” franchise costar would bring her voice talents to the new series was made during the “Ghosts of Ruin” Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
“Literally, I’m emailing the agents right now in this panel,” executive producer Michael Ramey quipped, underscoring just how “real time” the news had developed.
In May, Variety exclusively revealed that Rosario Dawson and Tony Revolori had joined the cast of the animated series, which follows a group of gamers as they compete in the first-ever neural reality battle royale game, named “Ruin.” However, a malicious virus appears and transforms their utopia into hell.
Emmanuel will voice Dr. Angela Tucci, who Stippec teases is “a very monumental, pivotal character in the run of the show.

In the animated short film "COLORs," one of five created for Toho Animation's 10th anniversary, a high school girl discovers that her classmate presents as a woman outside of school. She follows them around the city, from a coffee shop to a festival to a forest bursting with fall colors. When they announce one day that they are transferring elsewhere, the girl is overcome with sorrow.
She leaves her apartment to go find them, perhaps to tell them how she really feels. But then, out of nowhere, a warning siren rings. The city bursts into flames as a great sphere hangs in the sky. Soldiers engage the unseen enemy. Amidst the chaos, the girl finds her former classmate and embraces her. Her classmate kisses her on the forehead, and then joins the army.

Voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch is going back to his roots. In a tweet from Crunchyroll, the voice actor confirmed that he will be reprising his role as Vash the Stampede in the soon-to-come English dub of "Trigun: Stampede." Said dub will be arriving on January 21, 2023, a mere two weeks after the premiere of "Stampede" this past January 7.
Yong Bosch is a prolific voice actor and Vash in the original "Trigun" anime was his very first voice-over role. He'd acted before, most famously as Adam Park (the second Black Ranger) in "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers." However, during an Adr session, a producer decided he had a "hero's voice" and asked him to audition for animated roles. A few weeks later, he was voicing Vash. "Delling is going to die." So begins the end of the first half of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury." Every piece placed on the board in earlier episodes is making its move. Guel's dad Vim Jeturk wants Delling dead. Sarius Zenelli of Grassley Defense Systems hedges his bets. Shaddiq maneuvers to take control of the situation on his own. A new boy wearing Elan's face tries once more to seize the Aerial for Peil Technologies. Delling himself travels to Planet Quetta, where he meets with Lady Prospera. Her own plans are, as usual, a mystery.
The success of any one of these plots and counter-plots could change the future of the powerful Benerit Group. Whether this is simply another skirmish in a long battle for control of the solar system's economy, or the moment that the Benerit Group collapses into a civil war between dueling companies, is besides the point.

"House of the Dragon" is quickly becoming the best George R. R. Martin adaptation yet, a show that embraces the best parts of "Game of Thrones" but does away with what didn't work there. Sure, we may lack some of the sense of urgency from "Game of Thrones" and its catchy "Winter Is Coming" tagline, but by taking what is essentially just a history book and filling in the gaps of the story, we're getting a faithful-yet-surprising and poignant-yet-entertaining tragedy about the fall of a family due to very stupid choices.
But the show is not all violence, boobs, and funerals. "House of the Dragon" is also unafraid to be outright weird. After all, this is the show that gave us the gift that was Craghas Drahar, aka the Crabfeeder (rest in peace, king) and his army of crabs that ate people. Now, the show is topping itself by introducing...

In some ways, the first two episodes of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" are just what you'd expect from a new series in the "Gundam" franchise. There's a powerful robot called a "Gundam" piloted by a child soldier. Space colonies play politics with the lives of ordinary people. There's an impressive amount of 2D mechanical animation, an increasing rarity in the anime industry outside of studios like Sunrise. Most importantly, the "prologue" episode gives the heroine Suletta Mercury a first-hand demonstration of the horrors of war. The original "Mobile Suit Gundam" distinguished itself from its peers by suggesting that giant robot battles could be fought over ideology distinct from good or evil, and that innocent people could be hurt in the crossfire. "Witch from Mercury" is brighter and poppier than its predecessor, but something of that original cynicism remains.
In other ways, though, "Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" is nothing like I expected.

In the western world, gambling themes have appeared in many movies and tv series, from Vegas Vacation to Let it Ride, The Cooler and Ocean’s Eleven. These themes usually appear in drama or comedy genres and have proven to be very popular.
However, in other cultures where gambling is more of a taboo topic, the idea of gambling appearing in a tv series or movie is rare. That is until the recent Japanese manga series, Kakegurui appeared on Netflix. With gambling themes being particularly rare for this genre, the series has sparked a lot of interest in Japanese anime, while driving an interest in poker.
Anime and Japanese Manga are themes used in the gambling industry, with various slot games being based upon the anime genre. JackpotCity online casino offers a wide range of themed slot games for players to choose from, all which are easily accessible on mobile devices.

Albert Moriarty is the eldest son of one of those aristocratic families, who are forced by the Duchess , though, to adopt an orphan, with the number eventually raising to two, after Albert’s interactions with two brothers in a local orphanage, William and Louis. His mother and his brother, a sadistic racist, are infuriated by the adoption, and proceed in...
