Suhani is an Indian screenwriter whose latest work includes Hotstar's Dil Bekaraar, a show she adapted with the director Habib Faisal based on the book Those Pricey Thakur Girls, and who is well recognized for working on the feminist dramedy Lipstick Under My Burkha as the additional screenplay writer with one of the most sought-after filmmakers, Alankrita Shrivastava. Suhani's journey as a screenwriter began when her first screenplay was selected for the Berlinale Talent Campus. She received another grant to write the final draft, and eventually, filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda bought the rights to the film. She wrote the story and screenplay for the horror film Ragini MMS 2 and also created and wrote the story and screenplay for a drama called Swim Team for Channel V produced by Endemol. She has also written screenplays for the period political drama Siyasat and several other shows for Endemol Shine India and written feature films for RSVP and Saregama. In addition to being a part of the writers' room for Netflix's sci-fi drama Leila, she also adapted and co-wrote Netflix's horror series Betaal. She is currently developing a series project with PNC and a leading Indian platform while simultaneously co-developing a series project centered around the Indian art scene with Pratyusha Gupta.
